• I began teaching at Hudson Middle School in 1997.
• I currently teach computer applications in 7th grade.

• My first teaching position after graduation was at Wells High School where I taught typing, shorthand and bookkeeping.
• Before coming to Hudson, I taught at Apple Springs High School. There I taught, typing, shorthand, accounting, language arts, and Spanish.
• After leaving Apple Springs, I became a stay-at-home mom and was very involved with my sons’ school activities. I was able to keep aware of what was happening in the schools. I also substituted often in the Lufkin school district. I had a leadership position as Lufkin Band Booster president when my sons were in band.
• While I was attending college, I worked as a secretary for a local insurance agent, and that helped me to better understand the aspects of business courses. Before getting a teaching position after college, I worked for a local law firm, and fortunately, one of the lawyers, Pitser Garrison, later became the mayor Lufkin. I felt very honored to have worked for him, and I know the experience benefited me greatly.

I am married. My husband taught at Angelina College, but is now retired.

I have two adult sons. One lives here in Lufkin and the other lives in Alabama and is married.

Both my sons attended Lufkin ISD and graduated from Lufkin High School and Angelina College. One has a degree in information technology and works in H-DOT and the other son works for Compass Bank.

I have two cats, Jasmine and Bella.
