A.V.I.D. FAQ

1. How do students get into AVID?

If you are interested in the AVID program, please contact the AVID Coordinator at the appropriate school.  Students interested in AVID would need to complete the application process which includes the written application, an essay, and an interview.

2. What do students learn in the elective class? 

The elective teacher uses the curriculum designed by AVID to teach students about organization, note taking, writing, college applications, college essays, and much more.

3. Is AVID a class or an after school club? 

AVID is an elective class during the school day.  Students that are accepted into AVID will need to enroll in this elective class
