7th & 8th Grade Social Studies
Hudson holds a very special place in my heart. It has been a staple in my family for the past 50 years as each new generation discovered knowledge within its walls. I, too, walked these hallowed halls as a student and even studied in the very classroom that is now my own. In May of 1998, I walked across the stage and set sail for the big city lights of Austin, Texas.
At St. Edward's University, I studied fine arts and theatrical performance. As a scholarship student, a higher level of quality was expected of me in addition to my class work and off campus job. I once again crested the ceremonial stage summa cum laude and accepted the summation of my efforts with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts.
My teaching career began in Victoria, Texas where I earned my 4-8 Generalist Certification through Region III. I taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Science and Social Studies at Outreach Academy and I also established a youth theatre program at the Victoria Community Playhouse.
I have been teaching 8th grade Social Studies at Hudson Middle School since 2015. This will be my 8th year and I absolutely LOVE teaching history. I have also started teaching one class of Texas History for 7th grade and this will be my 3rd year to do so.
