Civic Duty: Participate in Voting & Being on a Jury
Birthright Citizenship: You are a U.S. citizen if you are born in American
Naturalization: You were NOT born in America but can still become a U.S. citizen
Bill of Rights
1st – Freedom of Religion, Assembly, Press, Petition, and Speech… you can worship freely, gather together, print the truth, and have an opinion of your own 2nd – Right to Bear Arms… you can own a gun to protect yourself 3rd – No Quartering of Troops… the government cannot force soldiers into you home 4th – No Search & Siezure… the police cannot search your home/property without a warrant 5th – Right to Due Process, No Double Jeopardy, and No self-incrimination… you get a fair trial, you cannot be tried for the same crime twice, and you don’t have to talk “I plead the 5th“ 6th – Right to a Speedy Trial… the government cannot throw you in jail for 11 years before your trial 7th – Right to a Civil Trial… you have the right to sue someone as long as it’s worth more than $20. 8th – No Cruel Punishments & No Excessive Bail… the punishment must fit the crime 9th – All Other Rights Reserved to the People… you have more rights than what is listed in the Constitution 10th – All Other Rights Reserved for the States… Federalism demands that State Governments have additional rights as well |
