Junior American Citizens
Hudson JAC is sponsored by the Anthony Smith NSDAR in Lufkin, Texas.

The purpose is of JAC is to teach young Americans the principles of democratic government and promote good citizenship with an appreciation for American heritage and history. The Hudson Middle School JAC is available to all Middle School students and is sponsored by the DAR Anthony Smith chapter. Member participation includes community service and patriotic activities, as well as showing support for American troops and veterans.
Preliminary Schedule for 2020-2021 School Year
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month, unless otherwise specified.
We meet at 7:30 in the morning, BEFORE school. Our location will be listed in the announcements.
There are no dues collected but T-shirts are $6.00 and donations are appreciated.
Ongoing JAC opportunitites: Raise and lower flag each school day at Hudson Middle School
Assist teachers and community with pratriotic, educational, and supportive services.
Be a role model of “Good Citizenship” to others.

Sock-tober Collection: Collecting socks for the V.A. Clinic in Houston
Operation Gratitude: Collect 2 yards of fleece and/or flannel make scarves to send military stationed overseas
DAR National American History Contest: Theme: “The 400th Anniversary of the Mayflower: Rise and Shine for New Opportunities in a New World.” Entries DUE December 1st.
