HMS Sorting Day 2026!!!

Good morning!

As previously posted, we want to invite ALL parents to join us Friday morning for our annual sorting ceremony in the Hudson gym. The main focus of sorting day is our 6th grade students and those students new to HMS, but all of our students will attend the house reveal. 

Students being sorted (mainly 6th graders) will be in the gym around 8:30 to get started. The rest of the campus will join in to celebrate our newest house members around 9:45. 

For those who are new to this here is a brief overview of what our house system is and its purpose: a year and a half ago HMS established a house system. Each house represents a characteristic we want our students to embody before they leave HISD. The intention is to create an environment where students feel like they belong and are included. The house system focuses on all the positive things our students do and gives us an opportunity to brag on them when they go above and beyond in and out of the classroom!

​There will be shirts for sale for $10 that students and parents are welcome to purchase after the event. Cash only at this time, and we cannot guarantee size availably, though we have plenty of sizes to pick from. We may do another order at a later date if there is enough demand. All proceeds from the sale will go back into our house system and benefit our students!
