On Tuesday, October 22 the LA had a lesson with Majal Minguez about Brain Gym. This strategy helps to relieve stress, improve focus, and optimize work. They also visited Fitt Life (owned by Casey Adams) for the Ninja Gym challenge. The students were tested to push themselves and get out of their comfort zone and work together to achieve their goal!

Red Ribbon Week week will be October 28 - November 1. ​Dress-up days are optional but encouraged.

​October 31 - Halloween costumes (leave accessories at home, especially toy weapons)
November 1 - Wear red or dress like a movie star

Fridays in October are hat days. This Friday, October, 18 students who donate $1 to wear a hat will be entered into a drawing for a free yearbook! All proceeds will go to support our Hornet Academy. Wristbands can be purchased in the cafeteria or the front office Friday morning.

7 HMS Students recently made the honor choir and will be traveling to Livingston for the clinic/concert. Congratulations to Laura Robertson, Sean Nash, Eliana Salinas, Natalie Solis, Josie May, Kayden Vinson, and Jayleigh Weeks!!!!

On Thursday, October 10 the 2024 HMS cross-country teams finished their season in championship style! Both teams took home the district championship!  The top 5 finishers and their overall place for the girls were Paige Brazil (2); Ava Henson (5); Avery Edmundson (6); Justice Bourghs (11); and Selah Smith (13). The top 5 finished and their overall place for the boys were Julian Zarate (1); Walker May (4); Jaxson Hebert (5); Jack Rodriguez (6); and Rylan Luna (7). Congratulations to all the runners and coaches who worked so hard to make this season a great success!!!

Students (and teachers) will dress in 50s/60s fashion, and we will watch The Outsiders movie in their RLA class (popcorn provided).  No need to go out and buy anything! Our next pep rally will take place this Thursday, October 10 @ 2 pm in the Hornet Gym in support of our cross-country teams. That afternoon they will compete in the district meet right here in Hudson! We encourage our students to stay and walk over to the meet. Any student staying after school will need to be picked up by 4:30 pm. Thank you for your support!
