Presto Assistant is a cloud-based, all-in-one management platform designed for the performing arts. Here at Hudson, we utitalize Presto Assistant for Inventory Management, Fundraising Tracking, Fee Tracking and Student Activity Account transparancy.

Here in the band department, every student has a “Band Bank Account.” Students can save money from their fundraisers by leaving them in their “Band Bank Account” and the money in this account can be used towards supplies, such as reeds and valve oil to trip and band fees. We created this system to help parents and students to be able to get the most out of their fundraising money.

The student’s bank account follows them through their entire band career, all of the way through High School. However, due to state law, money cannot be dispersed directly to students or parents. If there is money in the account when the student leaves the program or graduates, the money is absorbed into the band program’s general activity fund. 

All students and parents are required to have a Presto Assistant account and it is at no cost to the parents or students. Please do not use the same email for the student and parent. This will cause errors and you will not be able to log in and their customer service will have to be called in order to fix it.

Below are the directions to sign up for Presto Assistant.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Go to the Presto Assistant Website
  2. Click on “sign up”
  3. Select either “Student” or “Parent”
  4. You will complete the “Create a User Profile”
    - Please note, parents and students need to have different email addresses.
    - We recommend using their school email address. They will get this information on the 1st day of class. We also recommend using the same password for Presto as the password they use to log in to the school computer. 
  5. It will send an email to the email address you entered for verification. 
  6. Once you verify the email, you will need to join the organization. You do this by logging into Presto on your device and selecting the “Use Organization Code” option. The organization codes are listed below. 
    - Hudson Beginning Band – “hbband”
    - Hudson Middle School Band – “hmband”
  7. You then enter your personal information and select “join” and you are done! 

There will be video tutorials for how to navigate Presto sent out towards the beginning of the year.
